Product Development

At A Labs, we develop embedded systems and IoT solutions at the heart of smart products. We support you throughout the entire process – from initial concept and prototyping stage, through to hardware and firmware development, user interface design, cloud integration and all the way to series production.

Whether you are developing consumer electronics, household appliances, energy storage systems, medical devices or smart IoT devices – with our expertise in embedded software, electronics, testing, and automation, we help you bring reliable, scalable, and sustainable products to market.

Hardware & PCB Design

We offer design services for a wide range of products, such as power electronics, IoT devices, consumer electronics, medical or industrial devices.

Firmware & Embedded Systems

Low-level drivers, communication protocols, interfaces or complex control algorithms – we develop software for constrained devices such as microcontrollers.

Design Engineering

We design and develop parts and assemblies in 3D CAD – from prototyping to tooling and production stage.

Rapid Prototyping

Our in-house prototyping & electronics lab allows us to build and iterate on prototypes in record time.

Backend & Cloud

We develop and deploy the cloud infrastructure and backend services that scale with your business needs.

Frontend & UI

We design and develop graphical frontends for embedded, mobile, or desktop devices.

Testing & Certification

We offer pre-compliance testing and develop fully customized, automated test environments, validating the key performance criteria of your product.

IP Strategy

During the development of new innovative products, there is often new IP generated that needs to be protected. We assist in the process of preparing and filing patents.

We are advocates and contributors to the Zephyr OS project. Our co-founder Martin is maintainer of the DAC driver and the Task Watchdog subsystem. In addition, we are involved in the LoRaWAN development and in industrial communication like CAN bus and ISO-TP to bridge the gap between traditional protocols and IoT.
